Tipping is the process of “gluing” offset paper to the back of clear stock. This is done to prevent scratching, and offsetting from occurring while the product is being processed. The idea is for the printer not to have double the printing, (because if the product was interleaved you would be printing the clear plastic and an offset sheet as well.). When the product is printed all you do is Cut off the “glue line” and the product becomes interleaved.
